MEET YOUR CAMP COUNSELOR
Ryan “Mr. V” Von Hoyningen Huene

Hi, my name is Mr. Von Hoyningen Huene a.k.a. Mr. V and this is my summer camp! As a teacher with 18 years of experience, I am excited for the opportunity to be your camp leader. I have been working with kids since I was 17 and in the elementary classroom for the last 18 years. I am a compassionate, insightful, and driven educator who loves to engage learners in thoughtful and real-world educational experiences.
With that being said, I also LOVE summer camp!!! I love the goofiness and ability to connect on a personal level while creating crafts, exploring stem projects, interacting in games, and of course sliding down water slides. I am passionate about uncovering and harnessing your child’s identity through exploration, discovery, and play.
For the last six years I have worked at Dailey Charter International Baccalaureate Elementary School in Fresno, Ca. This gold ribbon school has taught me a variety of inquiry style strategies, critical thinking strategies, and PBIS strategies to use strategically in the classroom and at camp. Additionally, I have completed the Accelerated Collaborative Teaching Credential Program (ACT) at the California University of Northridge (CSUN) and received my multiple subject teaching credential.
As a husband and father to two amazing 6 years old’s, I want you to know that I am committed to impacting the lives of children through education and through my camp. Your child will be treated with kindness and respect here at Mr. V Camp.

I want to thank you for considering this camp. My camp was always designed to bring joy, fun, and excitement, but this year again, I will look to bring back normalcy for the kids. Watching kids come back to the classroom has shown me more than ever that they need this sort of social interaction. I truly hope we can serve you and your students. Please click the register button or if you have any questions please email or text me. Thank you again and have a great day.
